Traveling north of Durban through the lush sugar plantations of the Zululand coastal belt it is a one and a half hour trip to Empangeni, the gateway to the world renowned wild life reserves of Hluhluwe and Umfolozi, the parks responsible for the reestablishment of the once threatened rhino. These two “BIG FIVE’ parks and the ‘World Heritage Site” of St Lucia are only one hour from our luxurious yet inexpensive doorstep.
